We are looking for a compassionate, respectful, team player that can provide our patients with the best care at our NYC practice located in SoHo.  The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and experience in patient care in a dermatology setting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Duties may include, but not limited to all or some of the following

  • Greet patients with a smile in a professional and engaging manner.
  • Obtains blood specimens by performing venipunctures and finger sticks
  • Maintains specimens in the office and confirming pick up from lab couriers
  • Schedule Prep- scanning the Photobooth/ Excimer schedule and planning for the next day
  • Collect patient medical information, update medical records and input information in EMR.
  • Prepare path/blood results for providers to review.
  • Prep patients for procedures, draw blood when needed, and gather the signed consent forms.
  • Reconcile medications history.
  • Turning over rooms, managing inventory in the office
  • Perform and record a variety of treatment procedures under the direction of the physician.
  • Clean and sterilize equipment and maintain stock of supplies and medications.
  • Set up exam rooms for all cosmetic, medical and surgical procedures.
  • Fill out requisition forms and send out specimens.
  • Removing sutures, conduct allergy patch placements, PDT and iontophoresis, and unpacking medical/office supplies.
  • Perform a variety of clerical functions as assigned.
  • Treat patients with XTRAC laser/ Photobooth using protocol of physician

 

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 1+ years of experience in managing patients in a dermatology setting preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and work courteously and respectfully with fellow employees, physicians, patients and vendors.
  • Certified Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist
  • Most Important: You’re a team player.
  • Must be able to type at least 40 WPM
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Salary: $19-$21/hour

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This position will require long shifts, weekend (will depend on schedule necessary at facility), closing, and opening shifts.   Must work on-site.
